Natural Face Masks Pack on Goodness

A Potent Make-it-Yourself Face Mask for Radiant Skin
by: Sheryl Walters

Facemasks are a good way to thoroughly cleanse and nourish the skin on a deep level. There are many natural skin care facemasks on the market, but you can easily make your own at home… and you will probably find that it is even more nutrient dense and chemical free than what you can buy in the shops.

Here is a powerful facemask to nurture and pamper your skin, making it smooth and vibrant. It is packed full of antioxidants and beautifying properties to ensure radiance.

Natural Skin Care Ingredient number 1…Chocolate

Chocolate has recently been rediscovered to be one of the most nutrititous foods on the planet. Raw chocolate in its purest form has the highest amount of cancer fighting, disease busting, premature age destroying antioxidants on the planet.

While chocolate used to be known to cause acne, it has since been recognized that the milk in chocolate (or a whole list of other ingredients that make up your average chocolate bar) is the cause of acne. In fact, it has recently been discovered that putting milk in powerful foods such as tea and chocolate keeps the antioxidants from being absorbed.

The Mayans and the Aztecs called chocolate the food of the Gods. In addition to its high levels of antioxidants, it contains ingredients that regulate mood, increase libido, and leave us feeling peaceful, relaxed, and full of love.

If you can get raw chocolate powder, it is best. If you can’t get it, simply use pure, unsweetened cocoa powder.

Natural Skin Care Ingredient Number 2…Avocado

Many anti-aging skin care products use avocado oil for its anti-aging properties that create youthful, glowing skin. It defends against carcinogens and other elements that can cause disharmony in our skin.

It is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which is anti-inflammatory (inflammation is one of the biggest causes of aging) and is a potent moisturizer. Avocados increase the elasticity of the skin.

Natural Skin Care Ingredient Number 3… Green Tea

Green tea is consistently being hailed as a powerful antioxidant, and is one of the people of Okinawa Japan’s secrets for longevity and vibrant health. Putting it on directly on the skin is equally potent.

Natural Skin Care Ingredient Number 4…Honey

Honey is a great anti-bacterial agent, will open up the pores, and will deeply cleanse and detoxify the skin. It will also make the mask sticky.

If you want your mask to be strictly vegan and raw, you can use agave nectar, which has similar properties.

Natural Skin Care Ingredient Number 5…Oatmeal

Oatmeal naturally exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells, leaving it soft and smooth.

Oatmeal is also well known for its healing properties.

Mix them all up

Mix one mashed avocado, 3 tablespoons of raw chocolate powder or cocoa powder, 2 dessert spoons of honey, and 2 tablespoons of oatmeal. Infuse green tea in a small cup of hot water and let it cool. Add a splash to the mixture, or enough to make it into a paste.

Treat Your Skin

Apply on the face, gently massaging it so that oatmeal can start exfoliating the dead skin cell layer. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and rinse off with luke warm water.

Make Great Scented Water for Baths

Herbs for that Wondrous Bathroom Scented Waters Indulgence

The bathroom and the time we spend in it are important for so many reasons. Besides the usual short visits, we spend time there cleansing and reviving our body and inner person. This is a time that you have "me - time" the few minutes when the children cannot get to you, your family have to fend for themselves or all have gone to bed and now is the time to relax, slow down and enjoy your senses and stir the imagination:

We have five senses; Smell, feel/touch, hear, see and taste, but in our rushed life we often forget, or don't have the time, or just postpone stopping and enjoying being alive.

Take a little time to spoil yourself, make this easy herbal scent, for your bathroom.

Place these next to the bath, when you bath add lavishly to bath water, relax smell it, run your hands through the water, feel the water and scent on your skin, smell the air, smell your skin. When you dry yourself, spread more of the Scented Waters over your entire body. The difference it makes to how you feel is amazing.

Place some Scented Waters next to your basin. When the weather is hot, pour water into the basin, add Scented Waters, and splash your face with this wondrous luxury.

The great thing about making Scented Water is that it is so easy, you can use any herb you like, or whatever is available in your garden or once a flower arrangement has slightly lost its firmness, use the flowers to make your scented waters:

Herb Scented Waters

Use any herb you like, here are a few you might consider: Rose petals, lemon balm, lemon thyme, rosemary, chamomile, violet, sage, mint or lavender, vanilla pods, or a combination of any flowers or herbs, whatever takes your fancy.

Directions

Wash and sterilise a jar that has a screw top. Fill the jar with fresh or dried flowers or flower petals and cover them with boiling water. Allow to cool. Add surgical spirit in the proportion of 4 tablespoons of spirit to 1 litre of water. Add 15 drops of lemon juice. Leave for two days, shaking daily. Strain and pour into clean sterilised bottles. Pretty small bottles, preferably dark glass, with cork or glass stoppers look the best especially if you have in mind to use these super fast and easy to make scents as a gift to a friend. Make a card saying made with love or care by hand from yourself and you have a winner present for any occasion.

Spice Scented Water

This takes a little longer, but it is well worth it: Use any of the following spices: Cinnamon sticks, cloves, coriander, or combine them with a favourite herb like bergamot, patchouli, or sage.

Directions:

Coarsely ground, crush or pummel the spice. Place 1 part spice and 5 parts rubbing alcohol in a sterilised screw top jar. Seal and leave for a week, shaking daily. After a week, strain discard spices and herbs and smell, if you feel it needs a stronger smell, replace the herbs and spices with fresh and repeat the storage and shaking for a week. Once you are happy with your Spice Scented Water, strain and pour into clean sterilised bottles with glass or cork stoppers as above.

Why Natural Face Cream is Especially Important For Baby Boomers

This is a great article written by Maureen Devine. It primarily talks about natural creams for baby boomers an why it's so important and what watch out for.

--------------

Baby boomers have reached or are approaching their senior years. By the year 2015, all of us will have attained the age of 50.

The world has dramatically changed over the years. In the 1950's, when most of us were born, our parents expected to stay together for life and our fathers expected to work for the same company until they retired.

But the same can't be said of the world that we live in today. Most of us have had several jobs and more than one spouse by the time we reach 50.

We live longer. Our economy makes it necessary for us to work longer. Every day in the workplace, we are competing against people the age of our children and grandchildren.

Unfortunately, there is a definite prejudice against older workers. So we try everything that we can to make ourselves appear younger, healthier and more vital.

Store aisles are loaded with face creams and lotions that claim that they can give our skin the look of youth. But how many of these claims are real? Is an all natural face cream better or safer than one that is not? What should we look for?

It is good to be a little skeptical and ask these questions, so let's take a look at them one at a time.

The first question was: Many face creams say that they can make us look younger by removing wrinkles and shoring up our sagging skin. How many of these claims are real?

To answer that question, let's take a look at why we get wrinkles in the first place. Underneath our skin two proteins (keratin and collagen) combine, and together they give our skin the support that it needs to stay firm and wrinkle free.

But over time, these two proteins break down and that is why we get wrinkles and our skin sags as we age. So in order for it to work, we must find a face cream that restores or replaces these two proteins.

Research has shown that face creams with functional keratin and the antioxidants alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) and coenzymeQ10 in them do just that. The special keratin is so close to the natural thing that new skin cells actually begin to form when it is used. The antioxidants help in this process. In just a short time, people who have used these creams have noticed a dramatic difference.

The second question asked was: Is an all natural face cream better or safer than one that is not?

This question is not as easy to answer as the first one. Yes. It is better to use a natural face cream rather than a synthetic one.

Dermatologists worldwide recommend against using skin care products that contain harsh chemicals, astringents or alcohol. These chemicals can do more harm than good. But sometimes a manufacturer uses the term "natural" in a misleading way.

For instance, alcohol can be considered by some to be natural because it comes from grain. But as we have seen before, it should never be an ingredient in any face cream.

Mineral oil can also be considered a natural ingredient because it comes from crude oil. But it isn't safe either; it clogs the pores and leaves the skin open to acne outbreaks.

The final question: What should I look for?

Look at the label: If you want to find a face cream that is truly safe and effective, you need to find one that is free from alcohol and other harsh chemicals such as: DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (Read the label monoethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine), phenol carbolic acid, and polyethylene glycol.

Your next step? To take what you've just learned and use it as I have to discover the absolutely best natural face cream for you. The results for your face will be well worth the effort.

Natural Skin Product - Synthetic or Natural

Found this great Ezine article on why natural skin products are better for the skin in the prevention of aging. Of course we at bluebasins bath & body pride ourselves in natural skin products that promote better skin care. Read on about what Maricha Jordan has to say.

Which is Better? Preventing Aging With Natural Or Synthetic Skincare Products?

There is no shortage of chemicals and compounds being used in skin care products. Unfortunately, many of them are actually bad for the skin. This makes finding anti aging natural skin care products important for getting the best anti aging skin care.

All too often, inexpensive anti aging products use synthetic chemicals that are potentially toxic. Some chemicals are added to give products a better smell, texture or color. Others are added because they're inexpensive and they will add to the volume of the product. A natural skin product, however, will have nothing but natural ingredients.

Natural ingredients are important for getting the best anti aging care for several reasons. Any skin care product that is applied to the skin will eventually soak through it and will enter the body. This makes it essential to know what kind of chemicals are in that product. If the products are safe and natural, the product will not only be helpful to the skin, it will be harmless once it enters the bloodstream.

Anything that is put on top of the skin is being absorbed by the body much like the foods we eat. A skin care product that has toxic ingredients, even if they work to some degree, can cause harm elsewhere in the body. A truly natural product should have ingredients that are so harmless that they are actually safe enough to eat.

When looking for the best anti aging skin care, look for products that stand behind their individual ingredients. Some companies mention only the product's intended benefits and never mention how the product is supposed to actually achieve those benefits. The companies make vague claims about using "special ingredients," but they never mention what they are. Anti aging natural skin care products that disclose their ingredients and don't seek to hide toxins or unnatural fillers are generally the ones that should be used.

A company that has anti aging natural skin care products should be willing to mention exactly what is in those products and why those ingredients are desirable. They should tell the customer why the individual ingredients are considered to be natural and how that can benefit the skin. A company that is unwilling to do this may have something to hide.

There are many people who have sensitive skin that will react badly to cheap, synthetic chemicals. Many of these people don't even know they have a problem until they apply something to the skin that is heavily perfumed or full of harsh chemicals and see a reaction.

For those seeking the best anti aging skin care, having a harsh reaction to their skin product is a hard lesson to learn. That's when the harsh products should be put away and anti aging natural skin care products should be sought.

To keep the skin healthy, lessen the effects of aging on the skin and avoid any unpleasant side effects, anti aging natural skin care products are the best option. Getting the best anti aging skin care means using products that are not harmful to the skin and won't cause problems once they enter the body through the skin.

How can I exfoliate my skin using natural products?

How can I exfoliate my skin using natural products?

Some basic skin care natural methods can be adopted that will help to maintain healthy skin tone.

Sleep well – a proper sleep pattern is one of the best ways to maintain good and healthy skin. A well rested person appears healthier.

Always use a sunscreen.

Clean face thoroughly – the face should be cleaned thoroughly since the skin of the face is usually oilier than the rest of the body. The pores of the face thus get clogged easily with dirt and cause pimples or acne. Cleaning the face regularly with a mild natural soap helps to prevent these conditions.

Moisturize often – especially if during pregnancy as it helps to keep moisturizing it often.

Women with oily skin could use a water-based moisturizer while those with dry skin can use an oil-based facial moisturizer. It is always necessary to follow a cleaning and moisturizing routine for healthy skin.

Get a facial massage/facial steam – facial and body massage with mild and fragrant oils may help to relax apart from increasing blood circulation to the area.

Drink plenty of water – the water balance in the body should be maintained. This also affects the tone of the skin. Water cleanses the skin and removes the toxins from the body.

Smile and remain happy – the age old belief that smiling exercises more muscles of the face than a frown may also help. Happiness increases the blood flow inside the body and, thus, reflects in the form of a healthy and glowing skin.

100 Ways to Save The Environment

bluebasins bath and body, makers of absolutely natural skin care products , believes in keeping the environment green beginning with ways to be green yourself. We discovered this 100 list article of excellent ways to save the environment. Borrowed from SEOL.

In Your Home – Conserve Energy
  1. Clean or replace air filters on your air conditioning unit at least once a month.
  2. If you have central air conditioning, do not close vents in unused rooms.
  3. Lower the thermostat on your water heater to 120.
  4. Wrap your water heater in an insulated blanket.
  5. Turn down or shut off your water heater when you will be away for extended periods.
  6. Turn off unneeded lights even when leaving a room for a short time.
  7. Set your refrigerator temperature at 36 to 38 and your freezer at 0 to 5 .
  8. When using an oven, minimize door opening while it is in use; it reduces oven temperature by 25 to 30 every time you open the door.
  9. Clean the lint filter in your dryer after every load so that it uses less energy.
  10. Unplug seldom used appliances.
  11. Use a microwave when- ever you can instead of a conventional oven or stove.
  12. Wash clothes with warm or cold water instead of hot.
  13. Reverse your indoor ceiling fans for summer and winter operations as recommended.
  14. Turn off lights, computers and other appliances when not in use.
  15. Purchase appliances and office equipment with the Energy Star Label; old refrigerators, for example, use up to 50 more electricity than newer models.
  16. Only use electric appliances when you need them.
  17. Use compact fluorescent light bulbs to save money and energy.
  18. Keep your thermostat at 68 in winter and 78 in summer.
  19. Keep your thermostat higher in summer and lower in winter when you are away
  20. Insulate your home as best as you can.
  21. Install weather stripping around all doors and windows.
  22. Shut off electrical equipment in the evening when you leave work.
  23. Plant trees to shade your home.
  24. Shade outside air conditioning units by trees or other means.
  25. Replace old windows with energy efficient ones.
  26. Use cold water instead of warm or hot water when possible.
  27. Connect your outdoor lights to a timer.
  28. Buy green electricity - electricity produced by low - or even zero-pollution facilities (NC Greenpower for North Carolina - www.ncgreenpower.org). In your home-reduce toxicity.

In Your Home – Reduce Toxicity

  1. Eliminate mercury from your home by purchasing items without mercury, and dispose of items containing mercury at an appropriate drop-off facility when necessary (e.g. old thermometers).
  2. Learn about alternatives to household cleaning items that do not use hazardous chemicals.
  3. Buy the right amount of paint for the job.
  4. Review labels of household cleaners you use. Consider alternatives like baking soda, scouring pads, water or a little more elbow grease.
  5. When no good alternatives exist to a toxic item, find the least amount required for an effective, sanitary result.
  6. If you have an older home, have paint in your home tested for lead. If you have lead-based paint, cover it with wall paper or other material instead of sanding it or burning it off.
  7. Use traps instead of rat and mouse poisons and insect killers.
  8. Have your home tested for radon.
  9. Use cedar chips or aromatic herbs instead of mothballs.

    In Your Yard

  10. Avoid using leaf blowers and other dust-producing equipment.
  11. Use an electric lawn- mower instead of a gas-powered one.
  12. Leave grass clippings on the yard-they decompose and return nutrients to the soil.
  13. Use recycled wood chips as mulch to keep weeds down, retain moisture and prevent erosion.
  14. Use only the required amount of fertilizer.
  15. Minimize pesticide use.
  16. Create a wildlife habitat in your yard.
  17. Water grass early in the morning.
  18. Rent or borrow items like ladders, chain saws, party decorations and others that are seldom used.
  19. Take actions that use non hazardous components (e.g., to ward off pests, plant marigolds in a garden instead of using pesticide).
  20. Put leaves in a compost heap instead of burning them or throwing them away. Yard debris too large for your compost bin should be taken to a yard-debris recycler.

In Your Office
  1. Copy and print on both sides of paper.
  2. Reuse items like envelopes, folders and paper clips.
  3. Use mailer sheets for interoffice mail instead of an envelope.Use mailer sheets for interoffice mail instead of an envelope.
  4. Set up a bulletin board for memos instead of sending a copy to each employee.
  5. Use e-mail instead of paper correspondence.
  6. Use recycled paper.
  7. Use discarded paper for scrap paper.
  8. Encourage your school and/or company to print documents with soy-based inks, which are less toxic.
  9. Use a ceramic coffee mug instead of a disposable cup.

    Ways To Protect Our Air

  10. Ask your employer to consider flexible work schedules or telecommuting.
  11. Recycle printer cartridges.
  12. Shut off electrical equipment in the evening when you leave work.
  13. Report smoking vehicles to your local air agency.
  14. Don't use your wood stove or fireplace when air quality is poor.
  15. Avoid slow-burning, smoldering fires. They produce the largest amount of pollution.
  16. Burn seasoned wood - it burns cleaner than green wood.
  17. Use solar power for home and water heating.
  18. Use low-VOC or water-based paints, stains, finishes and paint strippers.
  19. Purchase radial tires and keep them properly inflated for your vehicle.
  20. Paint with brushes or rollers instead of using spray paints to minimize harmful emissions.
  21. Ignite charcoal barbecues with an electric probe or other alternative to lighter fluid.
  22. If you use a wood stove, use one sold after 1990. They are required to meet federal emissions standards and are more efficient and cleaner burning.
  23. Walk or ride your bike instead of driving, whenever possible.
  24. Join a carpool or van pool to get to work.

Ways to Use Less Water
  1. Check and fix any water leaks.
  2. Install water-saving devices on your faucets and toilets.
  3. Don't wash dishes with the water running continuously.
  4. Wash and dry only full loads of laundry and dishes.
  5. Follow your community's water use restrictions or guidelines.
  6. Install a low-flow shower head.
  7. Replace old toilets with new ones that use a lot less water.
  8. Turn off washing machine's water supply to prevent leaks.

    Ways to Protect Our Water

  9. Revegetate or mulch disturbed soil as soon as possible.
  10. Never dump anything down a storm drain.
  11. Have your septic tank pumped and system inspected regularly.
  12. Check your car for oil or other leaks, and recycle motor oil.
  13. Take your car to a car wash instead of washing it in the driveway.
  14. Learn about your watershed.

    Create Less Trash

  15. Buy items in bulk from loose bins when possible to reduce the packaging wasted.
  16. Avoid products with several layers of packaging when only one is sufficient. About 33 of what we throw away is packaging.
  17. Buy products that you can reuse.
  18. Maintain and repair durable products instead of buying new ones.
  19. Check reports for products that are easily repaired and have low breakdown rates.
  20. Reuse items like bags and containers when possible.
  21. Use cloth napkins instead of paper ones.
  22. Use reusable plates and utensils instead of disposable ones.
  23. Use reusable containers to store food instead of aluminum foil and cling wrap.
  24. Shop with a canvas bag instead of using paper and plastic bags.
  25. Buy rechargeable batteries for devices used frequently.
  26. Reuse packaging cartons and shipping materials. Old newspapers make great packaging material.
  27. Compost your vegetable scraps.
  28. Buy used furniture - there is a surplus of it, and it is much cheaper than new furniture.

Are there Dangers in Dishwasher Fluids?

We read this great article from 'make GREEN come true: Green living tips for a sustainable life' and want to share it with you. Thank you author!

According to EPA data, there are harmful substances in many dish washing fluids, both for automatic dishwashers and for hand washing. While the chemical composition and concentrations vary between those for dishwashers and those for hand washing, neither have a history of being safe. Automatic dishwasher fluids can be harmful or poisonious if swallowed, and can cause skin irritation. Phosphates in automatic dishwasher fluids can compromise up to 1/3 of the fluid. Once these phosphates enter our water supply, they can pose other dangers as well. Phosphates in high concentrations can create a buildup of algae and kill fish. While hand fluids are milder in comparison, many still contain high levels of phosphates. Fortunately there are alternatives that are now available. Many are available at local grocers and department stores or can be ordered in bulk online:

Help Stop the FDA Globalization Act of 2008

bluebasins bath & body, Canada's premier link of natural body products is supporting their American counterparts in helping to stop the FDA Globalization Act of 2008. This act threatens to put many small/family owned body products companies out of business by forcing them to pay outrageous registration fees - $2000/ year and comply with burdensome paperwork.

If this law passes, consumers whom have come to love and use all the wonderful creations that these small businesses have created, would be forced to return into using the nameless big box stores and brands for their cosmetics and personal care products. This means that consumers would again have no choice as to their preferred product choices...governmental control.

Please tell Congress that you are against this legislation by reading the below Petition and then leaving your comment as your signature to the Petition opposing the draft law.

Donna Maria rallies Indie Beauty Business owners

Petition
We are the owners of small cosmetics companies, and the customers who love their products. We understand that laws must be in place to protect everyone from unsafe products, but we are outraged by the Draft Legislation that would require small cosmetics companies to pay thousands of dollars a year in registration fees and comply with burdensome paperwork that would serve only to put them out of business.

If passed the legislation would deny thousands of families the ability to earn an honest living, and also deprive consumers of the variety of cosmetics and personal care products available to choose from.

We oppose this law and condemn any companies that support it as being interested only in creating an unlevel playing field where small and family owned businesses will be forced from the marketplace before they even get a chance to start out.

We urge you, as our representatives in Congress, to stop this law which would serve only to make it even harder for families to support themselves. We call instead for a real and meaningful discussion about how Congressional goals can be accomplished without enacting unfair laws that make it impossible for small businesses to survive.

In signing this Petition, we formally request that the Discussion Draft of the FDA Globalization Act of 2008 be marked up so that the legitimate concerns of small businesses and the consumers they serve can be translated into reasonable laws that protect consumers without also killing small businesses by making them pay unfair fees and comply with burdensome paperwork.
We sincerely thank you for your time.
------

After signing the Petition, you could also cut and paste the Petition text and send it to Virgil Miller at virgil.miller@mail.house.gov. Mr. Miller is a Professional Staff Member with the House Energy & Commerce Committee.

Thanks

Summer Ready Feet, Only 6 steps away with bluebasins bath & body’s Perfect Pedicure Routine

Our feet take a lot of abuse during a normal day and should not be neglected however many people do. This neglect can have an adverse effect on our bodies causing back, knee, heal and of course foot pain, just to name a few.

They are one of the most important parts of your body carrying you around and, in relation to that same body, are relatively small. On average, these tiny pedometers can count between 2000 and 6000 steps a day, so if you want them to keep on counting, start by taking great care of them now...naturally.

As the temperature rises, the layers start peeling off not only on the body but also on the feet. No longer are the thermal socks, stockings or boots needed because it’s finally time to wear our summer sandals. But are your feet summer sandal ready? Were you taking care of them all winter long even though they were covered. By the looks of it quite a few of you were not. So with the official summer season upon us, you can get your feet summer sandal ready with our Perfect Pedicure Routine created by bluebasins bath & body.

Our newly created foot care system is designed to naturally have your feet feeling and looking great. “We realize that a lot of people do not take great care of their feet either because they have no time, do not know how, or where to start, that’s why we’ve created this simple system to start the user on a path to having great feet,” says Makeda Paul, owner, “besides, it’s summer and you’ll want to show them off with pride.”

bluebasins has created a five or six step (depending on what you are trying to achieve) foot care system. The products created are all 100% natural, handmade with essential oils and/or herbs. The entire systems is designed to have your feet looking and feeling great.

Here’s the Perfect Pedicure Routine which is recommended once a week:

If wearing nail polish, remove before beginning routine.

Step 1: Begin by starting with the Peppermint & Tea Tree Liquid Foot Soap. Fill a basin with a gallon of warm water. Soak your feet for 10 - 15 minutes. Use a pumice stone on soles of feet during the soak. At the end of the 15 minutes wash feet in the basin with our Peppermint & Tea Tree Liquid Foot Soap. Empty the basin.

This foot soap uses the germ killing properties of Tea Tree essential oil, an excellent combatant against athlete’s foot or smelly foot syndrome.

Step 2: Fill the basin again with warm water and pour in 1/4 - 1/2 cup of our Revitalizing Herbal Foot Fizz, soak for 10 min and relax. Pat dry.

Designed for tired and achy feet, it contains the invigorating essential oils and herbs of peppermint, tea tree and crushed mint leaves. Packed with herbs that help cool, soothe and relax tired feet, it is the best way to rejuvenate them. The minerals in this fizz will have your feet cool, relaxed and refreshed.

Step 3: After your feet are patted dry, apply our Warming Ginger Foot Mask with hands. Rub the foot mask on feet and leave on for 10 - 20 min. Rinse off. Pat dry again.

This clay-based foot mask will have you feet feeling recharged and refreshed. It will revive your feet while making your skin, soft and smooth.

Note: The following two steps depend on what you are trying to accomplish with your foot care.

Step 4a: Once feet are dry, massage feet with our Peppermint & Tea Tree Foot Butter - to keep feet soft and wonderful. To keep feet soft use foot salve at night and cover with socks. This can also be used as a daily moisturizer for your feet.

Our creamy and thick foot butter will have your feet looking beautiful, soft and supple all day long. Great for those with dry cracked heals. Best used after a shower or anytime in the day to keep dry heal syndrome away.

Step 4b: If your foot care system is to aid in smelly feet syndrome then our Cooling Foot Powder is for you. Once feet are dried after the Warming Ginger Foot Mask, this cooling powder with it wonderful herbs can be sprinkled on feet to keep them dry, not sweaty.

“When you are finished with our Perfect Pedicure Routine, take a wonderful bare foot walk around your home to give your feet a great stretch,” concludes Paul. So even though your feet are abused throughout the day take great care of them at home to avoid seeing the foot doctor.

Almond Flour

Almond Flour can make a lovely addition to your next home spa treatment. Almond Flour has been an integral part of Indian, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern food, folk medicine and skin care. The creation of the natural ubtan, a special kind of body mask and scrub, is an especially intriguing example of Almond Flour being used in a traditional manner. Ubtans combine Almond Flour and other grains with Milk, Honey, and Ayurvedic Herbs and Spices such as Sandalwood Powder and Rose Petal Powder. The skin is massaged with this mixture until it dries and crumbles away, leaving the skin soft and nourished.

Almonds are one of the most nutritional nuts, containing a high amount of Vitamin E as well as several nutritious minerals. Almonds are high in Magnesium, Phosphorous, Calcium and Potassium. Almond Flour is made from carefully blanched almonds which are later ground into a fine, cream colored powder. This powder retains a high yield of the nutrients found in raw almonds. Almond Flour is a wonderful way to nourish the skin while providing gentle exfoliation. While Almond Flour is an excellent choice for your next body scrub, it can also be useful in many other recipes! Try adding Almond Flour to bath melts, bath bombs, or exfoliating soaps.

Be fashionable with your skin with bluebasins bath & body’s 100% natural skin care line

We buy all these expensive tops, skirts, pants, shoes and makeup, yet most of us forget the most important thing to be fashionable with…our skin!

It’s the one item we wear everyday and should be the first thing we treat well yet most people do not take great care of it. Our skin, the largest organ of our bodies, should be treated as though it is important and treating your skin should include cleansers that remove dirt but do not strip away the natural oils; moisturizers that moisturize the skin yet allow it to breathe; and exfoliates that remove dead skin cells while leaving the skin polished and naturally radiant.T

he best way to treat your skin is the way nature intended, naturally. The philosophy behind bluebasins is that you should be able to pronounce the ingredients in products you put on your skin. “Take a look at your average skin care product,” says Makeda Paul, owner of bluebasins. “It can be very difficult to correctly pronounce all the ingredient names listed? And, if you can’t pronounce it, how would you know what it does or how it affects your skin.”

Most people who shop for products for their skin grab the closest item off the shelf without looking at the bottle or even reading the ingredients. What they may not realize is that whatever you put on your skin is eventually absorbed into it and wouldn’t you rather absorb something natural, created by nature. This is why bluebasins was created – to give consumers a choice, a choice to be fashionable with their skin naturally without sacrificing quality.

bluebasins bath & body’s natural skin care line offers a wide array of products, created by hand and with all-natural ingredients. Products include handmade soaps, facial masks, body scrubs, bath melts, body butters and more. “Because the products are not mass produced, we are able to incorporate the best natural ingredients including Sweet Almond Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, as well as a variety of healing essential oils, herbal powders and salts”, adds Paul. By blending these natural ingredients together, wonderful synergies of products are created that are great for the mind, body and soul.

Your skin is yours for life, so be fashionable with it. bluebasins helps women look after their skin to make it as healthy and naturally radiant as possible. bluebasins bath & body...Who We Are!

At bluebasins bath & body, we create 100% natural, bath and body products. Our products are created using the best herbs, flowers, extracts, essential oils, exotic nut oils and butters. Special attention is paid to the details whereby all of our products are created from scratch and handmade in small quantities, therefore maintaining a high standard. Pride is taken in knowing all of the ingredients in our products.

bluebasins bath & body began many years ago with my great-grandmother who was the herbalist in a small Caribbean town in Trinidad & Tobago. She used her knowledge of herbs, essential oils and flowers to help her clients. This knowledge has passed down through the matriarchs of my family including her daughter and granddaughter, my grandmother, mother and is now bestowed upon me.

Today we incorporate my great-grandmothers knowledge (now known as Herbalism and Aromatherapy) with the knowledge we have acquired today, creating a synergy between both old and new for the making of fantastic products.

We hope you enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed creating them.
